As well as a characterful room for your gathering, we can guarantee the kind of hospitality that has seen Durrant’s remain at the top of many people’s list of destinations in Marylebone for two and a half centuries.

Wallace room

The Wallace Room, inspired by the art gallery on our doorstep, features walls adorned by a rotating selection of contemporary and classic art. Much like the art around the rest of our hotel, this helps lend the space a character all of it’s own. One that’s not style for style’s sake. More a comfortable and uplifting backdrop for small gatherings.

Available for private hire, The Wallace Room is ideal for small, informal meetings. The kind that are more about people and discussions than full blown presentations. We have other spaces that work better for those. Think informal business meetings, intimate drinks and canapé receptions for a lucky few.

Spy room

The Spy in Spy Room isn’t a reference to James Bond or George Smiley. Although both would be right at home here in their different ways. The name comes from the collection of Vanity Fair ”Spy” cartoons and caricatures by Sir Leslie Ward that cover one of the walls.

Available for private hire, this space can be set up for a boardroom meeting or a sit down dinner for up to 16 people. It can accommodate up to 50 people for a cocktail reception where the private champagne bar can really come into its own. A full A/V set up is available if needed making The Spy Room perfect for presentations. All in all, a unique space that’s full of character.

Armfield Room

The Armfield Room is exactly the kind of quirky space you would expect at Durrant’s. Effortlessly stylish and supremely comfortable, you can sink into an armchair here and almost feel surprised not to see Georgian or Victorian London passing by outside the windows. The bookshelves that bookend the fireplace are stacked with interesting books and magazines to distract you. The art rotates regularly but always adds to the ambiance. There’s even a scale LEGO model of the Titanic to admire.

Available for private hire, The Armfield Room works perfectly for small, informal meetings. If you need a characterful and comfortable space to inspire your team,
this is the space for you.

The Oak Room

Oak for the oak panelling on the walls. This large space is the epitome of Durrant’s Hotel style and tradition. A grandfather clock that really did once belong to the current owner’s grandfather. Portraits that add literal characters to the character of the room whilst a working fireplace adds warmth on more ways than one.

The Oak room can be set for seated meetings of up to 24 people. A full A/V set up can be brought in for presentations but isn’t a permanent fixture so the space is equally suited to lunches and dinners. A standing reception sees the capacity rise to 40.As with all our spaces, our banqueting menus are available. Whether it’s morning coffee and pastries, house press juices and our working lunch selections or our full range of lunch and dinner menus which all prepared in our kitchens and match the standards of the a la carte offering in our restaurant.

The Regatta Room

Named in honour of The Henley Royal Regatta, a world-renowned, prestigious event that is a highlight on the summer social and sporting calendar. The regatta was established in 1839, a good 50 years after this hotel first opened it’s doors but it’s not a competition – well, the regatta itself is but you know what we mean. For many years, the Miller Family owned and ran a hotel in Henley and have a longstanding association and affinity for the regatta.

This space is tucked away on the lower ground floor. It has a private, self-contained feel. For dinners and cocktail parties, it has its own champagne bar which can be used for service. Up to 50 guests can be accommodated for a sit down event, 80 for a standing reception. A full A/V set up can be added if needed.
