The bar is named after George Street, which was named for King George III, who reigned from 1760 to 1820. As one of London’s oldest hotels, Durrant’s has been a part of the city’s history since 1789. While we can’t say for sure, it’s possible King George III visited for a drink—what matters now is that you enjoy yours.
The Dining Room at Durrant’s Hotel features plush leather seating, elegant wood-panelled walls, and warm, inviting lighting. Open daily for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner, it showcases seasonal British cuisine. The Armfield Room features a cosy atmosphere with a LEGO Titanic model, Charles Miller’s armchair, and a bookcase. It’s perfect for small, informal meetings, intimate drinks, or canapé receptions. Available for private hire, the room offers a charming setting without the need for audio-visual equipment.
The Spy Lounge blends classic sophistication with modern comfort, featuring Vanity Fair “Spy” cartoons by Sir Leslie Ward.
